The next few weeks will be quite telling I think in regards to whether I get tomatoes or not. Fingers crossed!<br /><br />Amanda - no secret. I just read a lot of book and then hope for the best. It has been a really hot summer, so I just water a lot and weed a lot and try to pull everything out when it is ready and not too late (I have a lot of radishes that are bad becuase I left them in too long!).<br /><br />Bryan, thanks for the potato tips. I think I will leave them in just a bit longer and perhaps take some more out for the weekend on Saturday... I want to wait for a nice sunny day to take them out so they can dry out a bit too. We are also US ex-pats living in Zurich for a few years and blogging about the experiences! <br /><br />For your potatoes, if you leave them in the ground a bit after the leaves die, the skins will harden more and you can store them a bit longer. So fresh and bountiful! Alas, my tomato plant is not doing so well. It has about 4 small green tomatoes on it and it seems to have ceased growth.
